The moment Ordinary Misfit showed me this polish I *HAD* to have it. A friend snatched it up for me at Dischem and I absolutely adore it! It is a huge bonus that it is pink!
I’ve always been a fan of “indie” polishes which are very popular in the US, but cost a fortune to buy and ship here if you can find a site that will send you some. With the current exchange rate and shipping costs it just doesn’t make sense to order from abroad unless you have stupid money. So I’ve had to be content with making “jelly sandwiches” with layers of jelly and glitter polishes. L.A. Girl Birthday Cake is the closest we’ve ever come to an indie that I am aware of. It is a gorgeous light pink base with different colour and size glitter floating around in it. I spotted yellow, pink, blue, green and white.
I started off with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy and painted 3 coats of L.A. Girl Birthday Cake on all my nails except my ring nails which I painted with 2 coats of China Glaze Unrefined. The results:
This polish is really gorgeous. Because the polish is kind of transparent, it looks like some of the glitter is floating in the polish and adds depth to your nails. Absolutely stunning. What do you think?
