I bought Sinful Colors Cinderella a while ago, but after a disappointing run with Glass Pink I delayed using it. I knew it was also sheer and had no idea what to do with it. After Rudi made me a second polish rack (that deserves its own post!) and I managed to sort and display my untried polishes, I was inspired! Let me show you what I came up with.
I started off with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy to protect my natural nails. I painted 3 coats of Sinful Colors Cinderella on all my nails except my ring and thumb. Cinderella was quite sheer, but built up well and I managed to get it opaque enough for me in 3 coats. Once the Cinderella nails were dry I stamped on them using essence wonderlicious green colour changing polish and the bottom image of my PUEEN 49 stamping plate. On my ring and thumb I painted 4 coats of Sinful Colors Ice Dream which is a silver glitter with slightly larger blue hex glitters throughout. I needed 4 coats of this for me to feel it was opaque enough and even after 4 coats it was not thick on the nail. Ordinary Misfit only used 2 coats to get hers opaque. I don’t know if our formulas/bottles/painting techniques caused the difference, but this polish is gorgeous and so worth it! The result:
I loved this mani so so much! Isn’t it pretty? Whenever I looked at this I thought of snow and cold. Maybe appropriate since winter is fast approaching *sob*. I was thinking of calling this a “Frozen” mani, but since I haven’t seen the movie I thought I’d rather play with the polish names 🙂 What do you think?
