It’s Monday! Not a particularly happy Monday. My husband and I both returned to work today. I only had a week’s leave and I am still exhausted! I’ll do a holiday post mid week for you guys. Today I have two new to me polishes to show you. I bought Tip Top We Have An Agreenmint recently and Taryn gifted me essence prom berry. I knew that prom berry was a good stamper and thought it would look good with the green. This is what I came up with:
I started off with my usual Tip Top base coat and painted 2 coats of We Have An Agreenmint on all my nails except the ring finger. I’m not sure why the word “mint” is in the name of this polish, it looks pretty green to me. That aside, the formula was great. I don’t actually think I’ve ever used a Tip Top with a formula I didn’t like, so this just lived up to the experience I’ve always had with the brand. Once the green was dry I used the right hand image on PUEEN 36 and essence prom berry to stamp over all of the green nails. I had some trouble picking up the image and then had a brain wave and thought to prime my stamper. After two primes it was ready to go and picked up the full image. Gotta love it when you manage to problem solve instead of getting immensely frustrated 😉 On my ring nail I painted 1 coat of essence prom berry. The bottle that I got seems to be a bit bubbly, but it isn’t too noticeable. I definitely didn’t need a second coat. It is beautifully opaque! Prom berry is a very dark purple. Unfortunately in most lighting it looks black. It is a really pretty purple and I wish that you could see more of that. Over prom berry I added 3 x 3 mm patterned studs that I bought from Born Pretty Store (purchase here*). I started with a square stud at the cuticle, then a round stud and another square at the tip. I sealed it all in with a coat of Seche Vite.
What do you think of this mani? Do you agree that this green is not minty? Be sure to leave me a comment below!
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a fabulous week 🙂
