Smudge Polish Navy Seal

Gift Button

Hi everyone! The mani I have to show you today is the kind of mani I normally don’t do. The colours are outside of my regular preferences, but there is stamping, which is SO me ๐Ÿ˜› If we never move out of our comfort zone, we’ll never know if there is something better out there, right? For my birthday Ordinary Misfit sent me some gifts <3 Thanks, Michelle! So of course, this mani was inspired by the cool goodies she got for me. Let me show you what I came up with ๐Ÿ™‚Smudge Polish Navy Seal stamped with M Polish Hottie and MoYou London Fashionista 04Smudge Polish Navy Seal stamped with M Polish Hottie and MoYou London Fashionista 04Smudge Polish Navy Seal stamped with M Polish Hottie and MoYou London Fashionista 04Smudge Polish Navy Seal stamped with M Polish Hottie and MoYou London Fashionista 04I started off with Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as a base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of Smudge Polish Navy Seal (gift from Ordinary Misfit) on all of my nails. Navy Seal is a gorgeous blue metallic polish. I painted very carefully for the fear of cuticle staining. Highly pigmented blues will do that to you, but the formula on this polish was really easy to control and where I did need some clean up I didn’t experience any staining at all. I also did not have any staining when I removed it. Once my nails were dry I stamped using MoYou London Fashionista 04 (gift from Ordinary Misfit) and M Polish Hottie (gift from Pish Posh Polish) on all of my nails. The 2 images I used are reversed on the stamping plate and I thought it would be cool to use them together. While I was stamping my husband distracted me and I accidentally stamped my middle nail with both images. Oops. I have no idea how on earth I managed to line them up so perfectly. I didn’t even realize I was stamping over a stamped image. I also know for a fact nowย that I clearly am not a pro stamper because skew stamping is still a reality for me. I’ll just keep practising ๐Ÿ˜‰ I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.

Despite this mani compromising of colours I normally would not gravitate towards, I still really liked the result. Michelle knew that I had been eyeing a geometric plate with images like this for the longest time. She always gives the most perfect gifts! I was ecstatic to add this one to my collection ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you think? Should I move out of my comfort zone more often?
