Hi there 🙂 As it started getting colder and my mood started getting gloomier I really felt like doing a dark mani. I was really in the mood to wear black polish, which is unusual for me. I have nothing against black polish, but it isn’t the first colour I would reach for when I’m indecisive. I was mulling over how I could make black more interesting and knew it was the perfect opportunity to bring out some glitter! Glitter makes everything better, right? Well…it doesn’t make polish removal better, but usually it’s worth it 😉 Let me show you what I came up with.
I started off with a base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of essence black is back on all of my nails. This black isn’t super opaque, so you do need 2 coats to finish it off. On my ring nail I painted a coat of Sinful Colors Green Ocean. Drawing inspiration from the green and blue shift in the glitters and flakies, I decided rather than just use it over all my nails I would do some stamping to compliment it. I used my PUEEN 26 stamping plate with M Polish Pish Plashin’ Around (blue) and Get Lost (green) to stamp on my pinkie and index nails. On my middle nail I added a green and blue rhinestone. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I was really planning on being lazy and just slapping on some black polish with glitter over it when I sat down to do this mani, but I sure was glad I got a jolt of inspiration from Green Ocean. I loved wearing this mani so much! I also happen to know that Green Ocean is my bestie, Pish Posh Polish‘s, favourite Sinful Colors polish…plus the blue stamping polish was named after her, so I dedicate this one to Pishy! I would love to hear your thoughts on this one in the comments below 🙂

Hi everyone! I told you I would be playing with neons and holos again…so not to disappoint you, I did 🙂 I love the combination of neons and holos…neons and nudes…holos and anything really. Every nail polish addict has their preferences. I’m a holosexual first and foremost and then I would probably put neons a close second.
I started off with a base coat to protect my nails. I started off with a coat of essence wild white ways as a base. I used a make up sponge and China Glaze Highlight of my Summer (green), You Drive Me Coconuts (pink) and Flip Flop Fantasy (orange) to create a gradient on all of my nails. Once that was dry I used Color Club Beyond and MoYou Illusion 05 (press sample) stamping plate to stamp the swirls onto my nails. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I have so many nail photos laying uploaded in my media folder that I am yet to create posts for, I kind of feel overwhelmed. My blog has been very quiet of late and it has been unavoidable. With some of them I cannot even remember what polishes I used, it’s been that long since I’ve actually done the mani! I’m going to try and do some catching up and write posts for all of the photos. Then I’ll be able to get some content out for you guys.

Hi everyone! Today I have another bornprettystore review for you. I was sent a wheel of nail charms to review. The wheel contains a diverse selection of charms in both gold and silver. Some of the charms are also encrusted with rhinestones. While looking through the wheel trying to decide what I wanted to do, I noticed that some charms came in multiples and other charms were just a single charm. This limited my options somewhat as I always do nail art to match on both hands, so if I only have one charm, I can’t do the same design with the same charm on both hands. As I looked through the charms I noticed the cute dolphin charms and decided a beach mani was in order! Let me show you what I came up with.
I started off with a base coat to protect my nails. I sponged on a gradient using Hean 641 (press sample), Rubybox For the Chill of It (press sample) and Yves Rocher Taupe Rosé (gift). I stamped the shell on my pinkie with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and BP-10 and the starfish on my index with the same plate and M Polish I Need a Vacation (red) and Hottie (orange). I topped it all off with my essense satin matte top coat and while it was still wet added the dolphin charm on my ring nail and a sun charm on my middle nail.
I lost one of my dolphin charms quite quickly, probably because I didn’t top coat over the charms like I normally do and since I didn’t want to lose another I changed my mani fairly quickly. These charms are very cute and there are some bows with rhinestones that I can see myself wearing really soon.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this mani in the comments down below. If you would like to purchase these charms, you can do so here. Don’t forget that you can use my discount code to shop at bornprettystore (affiliate link) and get 10% off non discounted items.

Hi everyone! I bet you thought now that Christmas is over snowflake nails are a thing of the past? No way! Snowflake nails are appropriate any time cos they are just so pretty, right?! I absolutely adored this mani. Let me show you what I came up with 🙂
I started off with a base coat to protect my nails. I sponged a gradient onto my nails using Smudge Navy Seal (pictured) and Essie Coat Azure. These two colours are so beautiful together and I think would also make a great gradient combination for twilight themed nails. The snowflakes were stamped with essence white stampy polish and bornprettystore plate QA58. All of these snowflake images are individual images, so I stamped multiple times on each nail for the effect you see above. There was still a little too much empty space around the snowflakes when I was done stamping and no space to put more snowflakes, so I used a small dotting tool and Sinful Colors Snow Me White to add a few dots in between. I added a coat of Out The Door Northern Lights to give it a little extra sparkle and sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I was totally obsessed with these nails when I wore them. Even though we don’t get snow here, I love snowflakes. We do get snow on the mountains in winter which makes it very cold. When you start to feel the nip in the air you know that you can look towards the mountains and expect to see them capped with snow. If I do this gradient combination again I will probably use the darker blue towards the tip of my nail because it was a bit of a pain to clean up from my cuticles, even though I used liquid latex while I was sponging.
I would love to hear what you think of this mani in the comments below 🙂 Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone! I have my final Christmas mani to show you today 🙂 I love doing striped Christmas designs. Last year I chose to do them in red and gold, but this year I opted for the more traditional red and white. I started off with an L.A. Girl base coat to protect my nails. I thought I was very clever with this mani and started off with Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby as my base colour. I knew that I would flood my cuticles terribly when using vinyls and that Ruby Ruby would stain them. I also knew that the white I would be using is really opaque and I wouldn’t have any issues covering up the red. Sometimes I don’t fail at this nail thing! I laid down only 1 coat of Ruby Ruby and waited for that to dry. On my ring nail I dabbed a coat of L.A. Girl Speckle which contains red hex glitter, matte white glitter in 2 different sizes. On the rest of my nails I used straight nail vinyls that I received for review from We Heart Nail Art and painted one thick coat of essence wild white ways over them. I removed the vinyls immediately and sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I’m quite happy with how these turned out, although I think the stripes should have been a bit different, perhaps spaced differently. These nails were pretty eye catching, probably because of the white and I received lots of compliments on them.
If you celebrate Christmas, a very merry Christmas to you and yours! I hope that all of my readers have a most blessed and safe festive season!

Hello lovelies! It’s that time of the year again, time for Christmas nail art! It’s my favourite time of the year for nail art. Christmas is my favourite holiday. I am a sucker for all the sparkle that comes out this time of the year! The mani I’m going to show you today actually happened by accident. I was going to do something else entirely over the base I chose, but as soon as I had it on I was inspired to start doing my Christmas manis 🙂 I started off with Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as a base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of Maybelline Wine Shimmer (gift) on all of my nails. This isn’t the most Christmassy red out there, more of a wine red as the name suggests, packed with holographic shimmer. The snowflakes and holly are stamped with Color Club Worth the Risque and essence white stampy polish using bornprettystore plate QA58. The Christmas tree I stamped using BP-01. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
After a long absence from blogging and completely losing interest in doing nail art for about 2 months, this is the mani that made me feel like I was getting my mojo back. I’ve had nail blues before and usually push through them, but this was different. I actually wore some plain manis with no art and did not bother to photograph them. I skipped a mani day entirely. I also chopped all my nails down, which is why they are so short here. There was only one week that there were no posts on the blog, but I was pushing out drafted posts so it didn’t impact my posting frequency too much. Now that my favourite time of year for nail art has dawned, I’m hoping the mojo sticks around for a while!
Do you ever suffer from nail blues?

Hi everyone! Today I have another mani created with polishes gifted me by Pish Posh Polish. If you’ve seen my epic nail mail post, you’ll understand why there are so many of them! I wanted to create something fun and this is what I came up with 🙂
I started off with Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as a base coat to protect my nails. I painted 1 coat of essence free hugs on all of my nails. I then painted Sinful Colors Flower Power over that. I suspected Flower Power would be pretty sheer and was not in the mood to paint too many coats and struggle with drying time, so this worked out perfectly. Once that was dry I used MPolish Get Lost and BM-S107 to stamp over all of my nails. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I wasn’t so sure about this mani when I finished it. It felt a bit “busy”, but it grew on me quickly and I ended up liking it a lot. What do you think?

Hi everyone! I have another bornprettystore review for you today. I waited really long for these items to arrive and was right in the middle of kicking off Christmas manis when they did. I just *had* to use these full nail water decals (purchase here) that I received to review. When I saw them on the site, I immediately fell in love with them and knew I HAD to have them! Now that I’ve used them, I totally want to order a back up set. Let me show you why 🙂I started off with an L.A. Girl base coat to protect my nails. On my index and pinkie nails I painted 2 coats of Design Turquoise and placed two 2 mm round neon purple studs (purchased myself – purchase here) near my cuticle. On my middle and ring nails I painted 2 coats of essence wild ways as a base for my decals. I cut the decals down to size and removed the hard plastic from the front of the design. I have forgotten to do this before and if you do, they won’t work. You will need to remove this protective plastic before placing the decals into the water. I just cut them into rough rectangles as there is no need to try and cut them to fit on your nail. These decals needed to sit in the water for a while before the came off of the backing easily. I put them all in the water at once and let them sit there while I completed some clean up. By the time I was done, they came off the backing easily. Once the white nails were touch dry I placed my decals. They stayed firmly in place once I removed excess water with a tissue and didn’t move around when I used acetone and a clean up brush to remove the excess decal from around my nail. These dissolved very easily using acetone and I had no problems with cleaning them up at all. I know my Seche Vite can shrink and cause wrinkles, so I used a regular non fast drying clear top coat over the decals and let that dry for a minute or two before sealing everything in with a coat of Seche.
Once in a while I do a mani that I really love and this was definitely one of those! These decals are amazingly gorgeous! I am a fan of both paisley and purple, so these are absolutely perfect for me. They were also very quick and easy to use with maximum impact. These decals are currently out of stock (I’m not at all surprised!), but bornprettystore have the facility for you to be notified as soon as they are back in stock. You can also find bornprettystore on their social media channels:
I would really love to hear your thoughts on these decals in the comments down below! Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone! Today I have my first attempt at a waterfall mani to show you. I was really in the mood to wear a red polish for a change and spotted Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Racy Rouge standing in my untried shelf. This polish was one of the gifts my friend Leebeesa sent me for my birthday. She has recently married the love of her life and moved across the ocean to Ireland.I started off with Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as my base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Racy Rouge on all of my nails. In the bottle this polish looked like it leaned pink, but it is very clearly red on the nail. It is quite opaque and I may have gotten away with 1 coat, but I did 2 anyway. The formula was good, although I had to adjust a little to the brush in this bottle. The brush is wider than normal brushes, but not quite as wide as the essence brushes. I actually like wider brushes as it’s easier for me to cover the entire nail in less strokes, but you can easily overload your brush with polish and flood your cuticles so you need to balance that out. As the name suggest the polish dries fairly quickly, so I didn’t really have to wait much to start with my waterfall nail art. This is the first time I have tried this technique. I used essence As Long As You Love Me, Tip Top Armour Plate and Sinful Colors Black on Black with a striping brush to fill freehand the stripes. I sealed it all in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I actually got quite a few compliments on this mani and really enjoyed wearing it. I would love to hear what you think in the comments below 🙂

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you another one of the gorgeous indies Pish Posh Polish sent to me. When I was opening the package I didn’t actually catch the meaning of the name, but when I used it and read it again I was like “Oooooooh!”. I love clever polish names! I also made some decals for this mani. Let me show you 🙂I started off with an L.A. Girl base coat to protect my nails. On my middle and pinkie nails I painted 3 coats of Different Dimension Sorry But I Cantaloupe (gift). This polish is an very soft pink crelly with different sized neon pink hexes, squares and stars. STARS! Man I love the stars! I left the bottle upside down for about 30 minutes before I started painting and the glitter came out without an hassles. I am totally in love with this polish! On my index and ring nails I painted 3 coats of essence Ben & Cherries. I made decals stamping with BM-S104 and Tip Top Hot Fudge. I filled in part of the image with China Glaze Peonies & Park Ave and applied them over Ben & Cherries. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
I wasn’t 100% happy with the decals as the stamping is quite subtle, but on the plus side it doesn’t take anything away from the crelly. What do you think? I always love reading your feedback in the comments.
