On Sunday morning…after I absorbed almost half a slab of white chocolate, Babyice was kicking as if his life depended on it. I decided since the kicks were coming constantly it might be a good time for Rudi to try and feel for the first time. He pressed his hand against my lower belly and waited. Sure enough, Babyice gave him a kick! Rudi got a bit of a fright and said ‘I felt something there!’ It was such a touching moment. I was elated. I couldn’t wait to share it with him.
Early on in my pregnancy I bought a pregnancy pillow to sleep with. I figured I’d need it later on (one of the days I was being more optimistic than pessimistic). It really is quite comfortable…as my husband has discovered. Even if I slip out of bed to go to the loo, I find he has grabbed the pillow and snuggled with it. We’re a cuddly bunch. I thought you’d need some proof!
Hugging the pillow
As you can see, these photos were taken on two separate days…proving it wasn’t a once off occurrence. It’s so cute! He makes me laugh. I keep telling him he can get his own one instead of constantly hijacking mine, but he doesn’t want to. Last time I mentioned it he said ‘If you think I’m going to spend R100.00 on a pillow…’ and I said ‘Uh. Try R300.00’, he was gobsmacked.
You pay for comfort my dear!
