Purple Nurples

Today I have another Dollish Polish to show you.  What caught my attention with this particular polish is the circle glitters! I have never seen a polish here in South Africa that has circle glitters in it. Almost all the glitters we get here are either bar glitters (which I personally don’t like) or hex glitters. It also helps that the polish is my favourite colour 😉 Let’s get to it!

I started off with my usual base coat of Tip Top Miraculous Results.  I painted 4 coats of Dollish Polish Purple Nurples on all of my nails except my ring fingers. I painted 4 coats for even glitter coverage and opacity. On my ring nails I painted 2 coats of Design Turquoise, a gorgeous blue. I picked this bottle of polish up for R15.00 at Edgars with their beauty sale. I’ve never heard of the brand before and they had a very nice selection of colours. I had no issues with the formula or wear of this polish, so when I see it on sale again, I’ll be sure to get some more! Once my ring nails were dry I used the top image of my PUEEN 40 plate and Tip Top Purple Reign to stamp over them. I sealed it all in with a coat of Seche Vite top coat. The result:

At first I wasn’t sure I liked Purple Nurples. I felt like I could achieve a similar result using my China Glaze Are You Jelly? and similar glitter, BUT when it came time to take this off I was sad and realized I had fallen in love with it. It isn’t the same shade as Are You Jelly? and I won’t find circle glitters here anyway. This stamping attempt has me back in the stamping game. After getting quite a successful result, I have renewed hope for my future stamping! I think it really helps that I love the colours and that there is a high contrast between them. The image didn’t transfer 100%, there are a few missing patches on the bold lines, but not enough for me to hate it. I’m back into it and you can expect to see another stamping mani soon! I have also ordered a new stamper from Born Pretty Store and hope this will help me improve my stamping even more.

What do you think of these nails?
