When I received my NailCandi press release I was quite excited to find crown jewels among the products to review. I received two Candi Crowns and immediately knew that I wanted to do a “Princess” mani for Gabby. Along with my crowns I decided to use my new Dollish Polish It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die! The name of this polish nicely illustrates how I feel inside when I look at my cutie pie. It usually comes out as “I’m going to eat you up!”, but the feeling is the same 😉
I started out with my usual base coat of Tip Top Miraculous Results. I painted 4 coats of It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die! on all of my nails except my ring nails. On my ring nails I painted 3 coats of China Glaze You Drive Me Coconuts. I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite. Once my ring nails were dry I applied nail glue to a small area and adhered my NailCandi crowns to the nails. The result:
How cute is that crown?! I think this is a perfect “Princess” mani! I loved wearing it and loved looking at it too! I really like It’s so fluffy I’m gonna die!, it is a really pretty pink polish.
Let me take a minute to talk about the NailCandi. One of the things I really appreciate about the jewels is that they are not flat, but curved on the inside to better match the curve of your nail. If you remember my post about the large heart studs from Born Pretty Store, it was difficult to wear them because they were completely flat and sort of balanced on the middle of my nail, making me feel like they were going to hook on something and be ripped off unexpectedly. The curve on the NailCandi nail jewels relieves me of that worry. I am certain they are stuck there (thanks to some nail glue) and that they are “hugging” my nail bed making maximum contact with my nail and the glue. I found these a pleasure to wear, they are so blingy and pretty! I am also very glad that they are reusable, because I will certainly be rocking them again some time!
What do you think? Are nail jewels your thing?
