Hi everyone! Today I am going to show you my first ever mani swap, with none other than Pish Posh Polish! We each chose one of each other’s past manis to recreate and didn’t disclose which ones we were doing until we had done them. I thought it would only be fitting to use one of the polishes she gifted me in the manicure. Pish chose to recreate my Little Mermaid nails which I did for one of the Nail Anarchy challenges. I chose to recreate a silver and neon leopard print mani of hers. I admit I was very intimidated by this challenge. Pish creates amazing manis, but when I saw this one I thought I might just be able to do it justice. Here is a collage of our manis together:Here are the individual shots of my recreation:
I started off with Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardener as a base coat to protect my nails. I painted 2 coats of Orly Mirrorball which was gifted to me by Pish on all of my nails. Mirrorball blew up big time all over the nail scene when it was released. Everybody went ga ga over it. I honestly never thought I would own this polish since Orly is very hard to come by here. There were definite squeals of delight when I unwrapped this one from my epic gift box. This polish has a silver base and has small holographic glitter scattered throughout. The formula was very easy to work with and I am sure if I could come by more Orly polishes I wouldn’t think twice about picking some up. For the neons I used the following polishes to dot for my leopard print:
Index: China Glaze Peonies & Park Ave (pink) & China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (orange)
Middle: Sinful Colors Me First (yellow) & L.A. Girl Leap (green)
Ring: Sinful Colors Savage (blue) – yes I know, technically not a neon, but the brightest blue I own & China Glaze That’s Shore Bright (purple)
Pinkie: China Glaze That’s Shore Bright (purple) & China Glaze Peonies & Park Ave (pink)
I used a dotting tool and Sinful Colors Black on Black to complete the leopard print detail. I sealed in everything with a coat of Seche Vite.
I absolutely LOVED how this mani turned out and really enjoyed wearing it! I got loads of compliments on it too. This mani has 3 of my favourite things. Bling, neon and leopard print! Pish rolls out one amazing mani after the other and I knew I couldn’t really go wrong recreating one of her designs and I loved this just as much as I expected to. What do you think of our mani swap? You can find Pish’s post here. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below 🙂
