Dream On, Glissand

More new polishes to show you! I have enough now, right? Said no girl ever.

For this mani I started off with my usual base coat of Tip Top Miraculous Results to protect my natural nails. I painted two coats of L.A. Girl Glissand texture on my middle and ring nails. I attached 4 neon purple studs which I bought from Born Pretty Store to the textured polish in a line down the middle of my nail. I pained 3 coats of Sinful Colors Dream On on the rest of my nails. I used my Seche Vite top coat on the Dream On nails. Before I knew it I was losing studs left and right. I was always dubious about trying to wear studs on a textured polish. Admittedly I didn’t try to stick the studs with a top coat or anything, which probably didn’t help much. I also realized that the studs didn’t look nice all the way down the nail and looked much better with just 3 studs at the cuticle. The result:

After I took this photo the studs were still rather precarious so I decided to do a top coat over the texture. YUCK. It looked horrible. Well, horrible in my opinion. It held the studs in place till I took the mani off, but I really didn’t love it. Afterwards it occurred to me that I should rather have used a matte top coat, but by then it was too late and I was too tired of struggling with it to try that out too.

What do you think? Do you like these colours together?
