When I saw the essence cookie love polish in the store, I really wanted it. It is a nude colour with gold shimmer and even some flakies in it! I’ve recently discovered I have a love for flakies, although I will have to suck this up since we don’t really get flakies here in South Africa. We may get one or two international polishes like Sinful Colors with some flakies in, but it isn’t something that you find often. Back to cookie love. At the same time I purchased this I also purchased LA Colors Dizzy which is a gold glitter topper in a clear base with regular glitter and larger glitter hexes.
I needed a quick mani and decided this was perfect.
Can you see that beautiful gold flakie on my index finger? I really wish there were more of them! As usual application was easy with my essence brush. Because this colour is so close to my skin tone I didn’t have to clean up at all! You couldn’t see any places where I may have touched my cuticles with the brush. It really was a breeze 🙂
This mani didn’t wear very well, I had tip wear and chips by the second day of wearing it, but I painted it on at work meaning I had drying time between coats and I was typing while I was painting, which may have contributed to the problem. I really loved this mani. I could remove cookie love as I would a normal polish. There was no need to haul out the foil.
I really love this colour and will definitely wear this mani again in the future sometime. It’s the perfect nude, with just a hint of sparkle! What do you think?
