Sick bums
*sigh*
Babyice is sick again. Since his accident he has been coughing and still is. We’ve been keeping his chest issues under control for now, but this morning he woke up with a gunky eye
In the past the gunky eye(s) was always an indication that there’s a chest infection. We’ve made an appointment for tomorrow afternoon, since we’re taking him tomorrow anyway for his stitches to come out. Now I’m just hoping that he will be okay till tomorrow afternoon after work. Sometimes when we try to stretch taking him to a doctor for a day, the day mother ends up phoning us anyway to leave work to come and fetch him. In those cases his fever has spiked and she is struggling to get it down.
He doesn’t have a fever at the moment (yet) and I’m just really hoping he won’t feel too poorly tonight and tomorrow. He hasn’t been coughing too much at all, but when you lay him down you can hear his chest has fluid on it. No amount of rubbing Puma balm/Vicks, nebulizing, cough mixture and Rinex has helped to get the fluid off his chest. When I called the day mother earlier today to ask how he is, she said he is not himself today. He isn’t eating well (also a clear indication that he is ill as he LOVES his food) and wants to be held all the time.
Sitting at work worrying about him sucks
And now our medical aid is officially wiped out

I can so understand your frustration. We so want to be with our children when they are sick but also work is an obligation. Sitting at work, worrying do suck. Hugs
Our medical aid is also depleted due to sick kids and this happens every year around the last bit of winter. Strongs.
Hope he feels better soon. We’re having a rough winter too…I’ve given up on normal doctors for Nicola now, we’re officially at the alternative healer stage. It actually seems to be working a lot better.
Poor little mite. Hope he feels better soon.
*hugs*
Hope he is better – ours is also completely wiped.
