Oral hygiene – from the mouths of babes

Gym is going ok. We’re still making a concerted effort to go 3 – 4 times a week. We missed gym on Wednesday because Rudi worked late and we just couldn’t make it to gym and back before Rudi was due to go to darts (he plays league darts once a week). We went last night though and will be going tonight again and probably tomorrow as well. I’m working tomorrow, so I won’t be able to go to Yoga. I’ll go next week again though. We’re still not eating correctly and I’m not sure when this will change. I never suspected that I would be going to gym regularly for any period of time, ever, so maybe this isn’t a bad thing.

Our only solid plans for the weekend are that we are having my family over for a potjie tomorrow. Rudi loooooves making and eating potjie. I’ve only recently started eating it. Potjie is very thrown together and I’m not crazy about that kind of food. I’m not overly fond of stews either, probably for the same reason.

I’m still tired and threatening to go and have my thyroid tested, but just haven’t had the energy to do it. Seriously. I still have to make an appointment to have my eyes tested as well >>> I literally just put the phone down for that appointment. I’m not seeing very well and I’m sure my prescription has changed. I’m wearing my last pair of contacts anyway and am overdue for a check up. One thing at a time. I feel a bit better today, not quite as tired as I have been feeling, but I do want to have myself checked. I am way too tired for it to be normal.

Yeeha!

Babyice has decided that my toothbrush that stands on my night stand is something he can play with. This morning he grabbed it and was walking around with it. Realizing that he might put it in the toilet made me jump up to see what he was up to…and this is what he was doing:

What mommy? I also want a big people's toothbrush. You can't have it back!

So cute man! Looks like I am now sharing a toothbrush with him. Wah. He has his very own toothbrush (as you can see, he knows what to do with it), but it’s not an electric one. He gets kind of scared if you put the toothbrush on, actually. This was such a precious moment and I am super glad I had my new phone with it’s awesome camera right there to snap a pic :)

That is super cute! I especially like the riding of the duck one. :-)

How cute is that last pic?

Go get your blood work done. You need to find out why you’re tired all the time.

  3. The other day I heard a Canadian on the radio here in the UAE speak about making a potjie. I though it was pretty cool. :)
