I don’t think it’s depression, I feel fine otherwise. Not sure what it is. Will gauge how it is now that I’m back at work

Poor you! Hope you both get better soon. Waking up in the early hours of the morning (& not being able to get back to sleep after that) can be an early sign of depression? or it could just be the anxiety of knowing you have to go back to work. Sucks.

If the gooey eye started after he was last seen by the pead, I would take him back. Conjunctivitis on top of other symptoms is usually a secondary infection which indicates that the body’s immune system is weakened from fighting off the first infection (and that it is not winning!) and he may need anti-biotics.

Hope you are feeling better soon, sounds like you have a busy week planned.

Babies eyes get gunky when they have a snotty nose – because everything is to closely connected and their face (and the tubes) so small sometimes the mucous from the nose is pushed out of the tear ducts (yucky but quite normal). It can happen up to about 3 years old. Hope his cough clears up. Tissue salts worked really well for my two (no. 5 Kali Mur is for Mucous decongestion)
