Sjoe. This post is long overdue, but it reallly wasn’t my fault.


I waited almost 3 weeks for my new laptop, but it finally arrived on Thursday. It is really nice compared to my old laptop. I got my old laptop in 2006. It was practically a fossil and it was really starting to get very slow and annoying. I was quite upset when the screen was cracked, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise


My new laptop is a HP ProBook 4510s. You can see the specs here if you’re interested. If you don’t feel like clicking on the link, you can just look at the picture:

My maternity leave is almost half over. It’s so sad. I don’t want to go back to work. I would be happy to stay with my baby every day. It really sucks that now days it’s almost impossible to be a stay at home mom and live comfortably. I’m really grateful for my job and I would probably never leave since I’ve worked 10 years to earn the salary I earn and I don’t think I could match it anywhere else. I do want to get out of the customer care end of the business though. I’d be happy to continue working for the company I work for, but I need to stop speaking to customers. I simply don’t want to do it anymore. I have no direction though. I need to make a plan. Seriously.


Babyice is doing very well. He is gorgeous and growing up so quickly! He has grown so much. When we took him to get his 10 week immunizations on Wednesday he weighed 5.9kg, was 62cm tall and had a head circumference of 40.3cm. I didn’t leave the room this time and it really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. He only cried while they were injecting him and then it was all over. He has had no side effects so far, not even a temperature. What a champ! He is also learning things which is so awesome to behold. He is learning to grab. He grabs his own clothes and ours. When I put him in the bath he grabs on to my shirt as if he is holding on for dear life, it’s so cute! He also swats things above his head and I can see he is doing it with more and more purpose instead of by accident. He is still feeding well and not turning blue when he breathes, but the sound he makes when he breathes is still there and still very prominent. We are so used to it already we barely even notice it and sleeping through it has become easy, although sometimes he breathes so quietly when he sleeps that we check on him because we are worried he is not breathing! My rocking chair is THE BUSINESS! I love it! Gets him to sleep like a charm, every time. I highly recommend getting one to any mom. Saves you time and energy as it replaces the pyjama drill!


I’ll be trying to blog more regularly now that I have the means to do so again. Thanks for not deserting me in my absence! Loving my shiny new laptop!
