The weekend was quite lovely. It was too short, of course, but lovely none the less.

On Saturday Rudi and I joined @al_ice for her birthday in Kirstenbosch Gardens. We spent practically the whole day lounging around on the grass while eating, drinking and chatting to friends. The weather really played along except for a little windy patch. Everyone was having such a good time though, the wind was tolerated with a good sense of humour. @al_ice was super surprised when some of our twitter friends from Johannesburg joined us! JessicaMcD was surprised and flown down by Gary Meyer for her birthday…or was she? Later on the evening Gary proposed!  Muchos congratulations you guys!!! We also met some new friends from twitter, Riven16, Cazpi and JonathanAB. It was lovely meeting all of them!

The photo Ann took of Rudi and I is by far my favourite photo taken that day. I think I might just have it printed and frame it! It’s GORGEOUS We had a lovely time relaxing at Kirstenbosch. The food and company were great. It’s really a lovely way to spend a day!

On Sunday I went to church and was very relieved to see My Evil Mother was not there. Rudi and I finally cracked a level on Tomb Raider we had been stuck on for quite some time. I thought it might be nice to catch a nap after that as I was quite tired. After less than 2 hours of napping I woke up feeling terrible. I was so freaking grumpy and couldn’t eat my supper because I felt nauseous. It took me almost 3 hours to recover from that nap! Around 7PM I started feeling better, but it was getting close to bedtime again!

Except for the nap…I had a lovely weekend. Thank you so much to everyone that contributed!
