Blonde or Brunette?

So the time has come my dears where I have once again grown bored with my hair. I desperately need to get it cut…and I need a colour. I’m at an in between stage right now. My hair is light brown. I don’t like it light brown. I’m either going to make it darker or go blonde again. Hubby would like it blonde again, he never has gotten over the fact that I robbed him of his blonde wife. Strange, since he has told me from the time we met that he never really liked blondes much. He is attracted to brunettes. Men. Go figure.

The reasons I’m hesitant about being a blonde again:

  1. The bleaching process will damage my hair
  2. Compulsory trips to the hairdresser (often) – roots are terrible
  3. Staying blonde is high maintenance and can become very expensive

When the darker colour starts growing out it’s a lot less obvious. If I had let my hair go this long and I was blonde I’d look a little Courtney Love-ish. EEK.

So what do you think?

Haha men indeed. When I asked hubby what his preferance was he said anything…my choice. Until I went darker and he said he liked having a blonde wife. And I am also the only person he has ever been with that is blonde….

Anyway…. I love blonde hair. It is very high maintenance though. Also you will have to check how it will work what with babyice and all. (heard that it’s dangerous and doesn’t always “take” properly but not sure how true that is)

I love YOU with darker hair too though. Not the light brown, the darker brown like when you first had it done. It is hard for me to say which one I prefer as I think they both look fantastic. I do like the darker brown though.

BUT…I say if you can manage the maintenance and it is safe to do it now go back to blonde. They do say blondes have more fun after all!!! You can always go back darker later if you prefer.

Hope that helped although I kinda doubt it…..

    xx

I have never met you in person, but I like the blond!
(however, maintenance and new born doesn’t always go hand in hand?)
What do you feel like at the moment?

I’m stuck in that exact dilemma – the upkeep of the blonde is not necessarily going to be possible/affordable with a new baby around. Dark being easier to maintain would be the more logical choice. It is also, however, almost summer…being blonde in summer is so awesome. *sigh* CONFUSED! :)

I like the blond but to make it practical, since baby is coming in 4 months, rather go brunette because time IS going to be a factor.

I like you in blond but go for brunette because of the time factor and baby coming :)

i like the brunette the blonde is nice but very high maintenance and in the pics the blonde makes u look older. if u still undecided why not go darker and put some foils in it seems to break the colour a bit (sorry for the curveball) but once baby comes along the hair will probally b the last thing on your mind

i think you make a pretty blonde. however, you may want to wait a while before you decide to play with colour. i speak from experience when i say that pregnancy hormones and hair colour are not always compatible. sometimes the colour just won’t take properly, other times it may come out a bit different from what you were expecting. of course, it’s also likely you won’t have either of those things happen and your colour works out perfectly, but you won’t know until you’ve done it. you might also find that something that really appealed to you during your pregnancy really doesn’t do it for you after your baby is born….
i’m seriously bored and aching to do something with my own hair as well, but i’ve decided to wait until baby arrives before treating myself to a mini makeover…
anyway, light brown, blonde or whatever, you’re rocking some great skin over there, you lucky cow! with this pregnancy, all that teenage acne i managed to escape back in the day is catching up with me. i hate you!! (but not really ;-P)

Thanks MeeA :) I must say that I have gotten a lot of sore pimples in the crease of my nose and the skin under and around my nose has been very dry! I’ve been lucky with my skin though…Hope yours gets better!
