Shopping for Babyice
I’m starting to feel a bit better about all the baby stuff. I’ve already sorted out the camp cot and the pram will be sorted soon. I am waiting for Reggies to get stock of the car seat we want to buy. With the 60% discount from Discovery the car seat is really good value for money! It will cost around R315.00 and it’s 0 – 18kg. Nellie is going to scope out the pram we want to get at Mr. Price Home on the weekend and they will send it to a store near me if they can’t find stock here!
Yesterday we wanted to go and buy a bouncy chair we saw on special at Game. While waiting for someone to go and fetch one out the back…I spotted a baby bag I had to have. It’s black and very stylish…even has a changing mat inside! Best part? It was only R170.00!

Baby Bag

Yes, it's Winnie The Pooh
Isn’t it fabulous?! I suppose it’s no secret what my theme for Babyice’s room is going to be…Luckily I don’t need any Eeyore things. I’ve got PLENTY of those!
I was super tempted to buy the mega pack of Pampers nappies yesterday as well, but I’ve been warned not to buy too many nappies before Babyice arrives as he may have sensitivities or that they might just not work for him. It’s a bit frustrating to be honest. I have money now and I would like to start buying the things we are going to need and everybody knows that you will need an endless amount of nappies!
We also did manage to buy the bouncy chair. Nellie says her baby rocks himself to sleep in his bouncy chair! Who doesn’t need one now? It looks more or less like this:
Bouncy Chair
Awesomeness!

It is so “lekker” to buy stuff when one is expecting. Buying stuff for baby can be so much fun. I am happy to hear that you enjoy it so much.
you can buy nappies from Baby city and then just swop the closed packs when baby arrives and you see your preference or have too many of a size
Nice bag – enjoy the getting things ready, I let it be stressful where it should be fun.
enjoy baby shopping, i realized you need a lot less than you think
What gorgeous stuff you have so far!!!
Out of interest. Game was also willing to swop out nappies for my brother when they bought. They bought from the time they found out they were expecting and Game said to just keep the slips and they could swop for bigger sizes or different brands. (for the same value in R’s of course)
Those vouchers seem pretty cool. Are you a vitality member by any chance?
Enjoy the shopping.
Yes I am a vitality member – I know about the discount, received my vouchers, but I’m scared that I can’t exchange them. Discount is only at Reggies and Toys R Us.
Will check with Game – they are selling the Mega Pack!
Hehehe, you’ve been busy.
I’ve got most of what I consider to be the major things – big ticket items. But for all the smaller stuff I’ve decided to wait until after the baby shower because you never know what you’ll end up having doubles of then, also when someone asks what you need you don’t have to say, “Err…nothing really”.
(That looks like a really lovely bag by the way)
I agree with Louisa… you’ll get loads at your baby shower, don’t get too many small itemsbefore then
So you’re quite the bargain hunter yourself then, eh?
Wow… bouncy chairs have come a long way since the knucklehead was a baby.
